Sunday, June 18th, 2006WoW! Friday’s 2 matches were the 2 best matches i have seen so far for WC06!
Argentina vs SM for the 6 goals scored by a very strong looking Argentina;
Holland vs Ivory Coast for the high tempo, exciting and open game! Even though i was watching the game lying on my bed, i was fully awake throughout the match! I tend to fall asleep if i watch tv on my bed, so it’s quite an achievement that i wasn’t sleepy.
I think i am falling in love with African soccer! The players all run like there is no tomorrow, well built, and dun fall to the ground easily as if they have been run over by a train. This is in contrast with those Europeans, who ’dive’ and writh in pain, rolling on the ground 4-5 turns before stopping. Then once the ref blows the whistle, they are able to jump right up and carry on as if nothing had happened! Bloody cheats!!

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006I know, i am a cheapo for not subscribing to SCV yet wanting to watch WC06. Have been sulking at home coz there’s no place to watch.
Bloody Mac is so crowded everytime there is a match, with the other cheapo Singaporeans crowd spilling out to outside the restaurant. Then there is the cigarette smoke to contend with. Plus the distance from home, having to stand and watch, and getting blocked occassionally when some mutants who think they possess Invisible powers, and last but not least is the TV is so far from where i am standing!!! =`(
But 皇天不负有心人！Whilst i was surfing the net, i saw a blogger who by just pulling out the SCV connection and leaving the tv connecter hanging in the air was able to watch WC!!! So, i tried and …

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006Despite not feeling very sure of win, i went ahead and placed bets on WC matches.
And the bloody crows were kpkb-ing when i was walking to the outlet (i should have listened to them!). Guess what? I lost all but 1 of the 7 bets i placed. Thus, since i only won 1 out of 7 bets placed with Singapore Pools (SP) yesterday on matches on Aussie vs Jap, USA vs Czech and Italy vs Ghana, i have decided not to make donations to the charities that SP contributes to place any bets today.
BUT, but, if i did decide to place bets, i would have betted on the following:
1. Korea vs Tongo
- Tongo eat ball; Korea win
2. France vs Switzerland
- France give ball; France win
3. Bazil vs Croatia
- Brazil give ball; Brazil win (the odds stink: 1.22)
