Today was the start of work at the new company.
Things seem fine and dandy now, and i hope it stays that way for a long time.
Just heard news that if i had stayed on in the old company, i would have been in HK again, this time for 2 weeks. Haha…

“Auditors are hot”. Boldly emblazoned on a white T-shirt, this is the message Emily Tan, 21, has for those who think that accounting and those who do it are a snore. While studying accountancy, Emily, together with four friends, started the website Auditors in White selling T-shirts bearing slogans ranging from the abovementioned declaration to others like “Audit brings me to places” and “Auditors love ginger A-L=E”.
Their enthusiasm for “revamping” the image of auditors started when two of Emily’s friends started discussing how auditing and accountancy are often perceived as boring.With a laugh, Emily maintained: “But we don’t think so!”
Just 1 question lass: So why are you a management trainee with JP Morgan Asia Finance when being an AUDITOR IS HOT?

Sunday, May 27th, 2007…to leave out gender, age and pictures so as to prevent discrimination?
I think that’s a crap idea. I mean, so what if i do not need to fill in my gender/age/picture? Can’t the employer tell/gauge my gender from my name alone? Then what about NRIC number? That’s a dead giveaway for age.
Ok, i take it that this brilliant idea gets the go ahead. A lingerie shop is looking for staff, and by the fact that gender is no longer required to be disclosed, means i can apply to work there? What about the time wasted by the HR of the company in arranging interview sessions, only to find that i look hideous (thus not suitable for sales), or i am a guy (thus not suitable for selling lingerie)? Doesn’t that waste everybody’s time? Crap lor.

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007Received a call out of the blue from J today whilst i was checking some stuff with the client, so told her i would call her back later, which happened to be ard 1 hr later? Strange that she would call me, its usually me calling her.
So i called her and asked wadsup? She said nothing much, just feel like calling me when she was on her way home. I really wanted to ask her: “Wa, miss me ah?” But i didn’t dare to. So we chatted and bitched about our suck jobs, sucky AICs.
Maybe i think too much/read too deeply into things. Its not possible la, she’s flying over to the states in ard 2 weeks to meet her bf.

Finally after siam-ing for 4 yrs uni + 1 yr work, i am going back to wearing green to defend my country starting next week for 2 weeks.
Doing this in the middle of my peak period has its pros and cons.
Pros - i get to take a break from work within this hectic period…
Cons - its a high-key ICT, meaning outfield, meaning shiong…
So should i be happy or not? haha…Be back in 2 weeks. So long then.
