A cup of cold strawberry yoghurt topped with munchie overflowing blueberries is so shiok after a jog.
It would be complete with a loved one sharing the youghurt with me.

I almost got knock down by a car and died…….
Went jogging around the neighbourhood and i was just a junction away from the home stretch. Looking to my right, i did not see any cars coming. I wanted to cross to keep the momentum running, but it was still green light.
Then the traffic light turned amber, so i did not look to my right, thinking (whatever was i thinking about??) that there wont be any more cars coming from that direction. Instead i was focused on the left side of the road, wanting to cross the road before the cars turn right.
Seeing the cars on my left not moving, i decided to run across the road. The next thing i heard was horns blaring and feeling the whip of air on my right leg. A car just went past, missing me by inches! If i had been running slower, or even stared running across the road 1 second later, i think i would have died….or worse become paralyzed…
I was berating myself for not checking the traffic, and it was only awhile later that i rem that the asshole driving the car was running the red light! Tmd….
I survived my 1/2 marathon! But i cant really feel my legs…its as if they don’t belong to part of my body.
Briefly, before i go concuss:
Slept at 11pm yesterday, woke up at 430. Had coffee (bad choice), bread and half a cup of milo before deciding its time to make a move. Drove Dad’s car and parked at Carlton Hotel in the mistaken idea that on Sundays its per entry. It cost a total of 12 farking dollars!!! Bloody hell….
Since i signed up for the event alone, was walking ard trying to find where i could deposit my bag. Having settled that, it was almost time to start and i was just hanging ard when i saw Andrew! Haha…then i saw Tham Tuck and Poh! =)
The race started soon after, and i spent 6 mins walking to the starting line. Well, the first 12km was a breeze, overtaking people at will. When i saw the 16km sign, i was really running on auto mode. My legs were telling me to stop, but i made them carry on running. The last 5 km was really terrible, overtaken by alot of guys and GIRLS and AUNTIES! =(
Timing: 2hrs 28 min something. At least i achieved my aim of finishing within 2hrs 30 min! =)
There was a major cockup over the claiming of bags, and i had to wait for 1hr 30 min just to retrieve my bag! WTH, should claim the parking fee from them!
I think i will go again for 21km next yr, not mentally tough enough for the 42km!
Was on leave from wednesday onwards, and even though today is friday night, i am stuck at home. Why? Coz the Standard Chartered Marathon is this sun! Argh…feel so torn between going/staying out late having fun and the need to rest for the run…Its not as if every week i would have the opportunity to take leave during a weekday.
BAH! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR…..
Haf not been updating, running for almost a month.
I want to put all the blame on being busy at work for not blogging, but i think its really just plain laziness. Mitigating factor would be that i lead a boring life, nuthing to blog about.
Well, as for running, how in the world does 1 find time to go running when work ends btw 7-8pm when you have yet to eat dinner, and it takes another 30 mins for you to get home? I am really blaming work for not jogging.
ARGHHHHh…….the Standard Chartered Marathon is like less than 1 month away……DIE…….
Went back to my client’s place, a place i have not gone back since Feb 06. All the staff there were pleasantly surprised to see me after such a long time. I think after you go through all the shit together, you become more than just a client-auditor relationship.
Too bad Yvette wasn’t around, i was quite excited about seeing her again. She’s really a very very nice and humble person, someone w/o airs. Hope her baby and she are both doing well!

Woah, the haze looks terrible at night! I wonder if it hits more than 80 PSI at night?

Finally managed to run more than 5km!
8km @ 47.03 mins
I shall carry on going for distance rather than speed.
Bought this on Sunday for $29.90 from Sportslink @ AMK.

Was very tempted to wear it today at the gym, but decided to save it for Tuesday just before i slept.
Luckily i made the right choice for i saw another guy in the gym today wearing exactly the same singlet! And he had a pair of matching grey shorts! haha…
Only ran 3km today. =(
